The AlignSmart Foundation (Objective Structural Assessment)
Movement analysis has become a cornerstone of modern biomechanics. Advances in motion capture, force plate technology, wearable sensors, and performance analytics have transformed our ability to understand how the human body moves. Yet every movement begins from a body that is already organized in a unique relationship to gravity.
The AlignSmart Foundation introduces practitioners to the principles and practice of objective structural assessment. Throughout this course, you will learn how to observe, document, and measure the structural framework from which movement begins using a standardized and repeatable evaluation process.
This course complements your existing knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and movement science by introducing an objective approach to assessing static structural organization before dynamic movement occurs.
This is a 14-week course, and by the end you will be able to perform a complete structural assessment, utilize the AlignSmart® software platform to document objective findings, and communicate those findings using a consistent, evidence-informed methodology. These foundational skills prepare you for advanced study in corrective exercise programming, clinical sequencing, and a wide range of professional applications within human movement and rehabilitation.
